About

Thornwood Barns sits at the end of a long farm track outside Ongar, far enough from the road that the only sound is the rooks. The Great Barn seats 180 under a roof raised in 1740, and the Stable Yard opens onto a walled garden for drinks. We hold one wedding at a time and hand you the keys the day before.

We are used to three day celebrations. Our kitchen is available to any caterer you choose, halal or otherwise, and we have hosted mehndi nights, nikah ceremonies and Sunday walimas in the same week.
