Terms of service

VOWÉA (“we”, “us”) runs a directory that helps couples find wedding venues and businesses, and helps those businesses receive enquiries. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

What we do, and what we do not

We introduce couples to venues and wedding businesses. We are not a party to any agreement you go on to make with a venue, and we do not provide the wedding services listed. Any booking, contract, payment or dispute about a wedding is between you and the business you chose. We do our best to keep listings accurate, but the businesses are responsible for their own prices, availability and the details they publish.

Using the site as a couple

You may use the site to search, save venues, use the planning tools and send enquiries. When you send an enquiry, you agree that we may pass your details to the venues you chose, so they can reply. Please give accurate information, and use the service only for a genuine wedding enquiry.

Listing a business

If you list a business, you agree to keep your listing honest and up to date, to hold the licences your business needs, and to respond to couples in good faith. You may not list a business you do not run, publish misleading prices, or misuse the contact details you receive.

Listing is free. You pay only for leads, as described on our pricing page. Charges are taken from your balance when you unlock a couple’s contact details. Leads that are invalid, such as dead contact details, duplicates or spam, can be disputed and refunded under the rules set out at unlock time. Search position cannot be bought and is decided as explained on how we rank.

Acceptable use

You may not use the site to break the law, to harvest data, to send spam, to attempt to gain unauthorised access, or to interfere with how the service runs. We may suspend or remove any account or listing that does.

Content and intellectual property

The design, text and software of VOWÉA belong to us or our licensors. Listing content belongs to the business that provided it, which grants us the right to display it. You may not copy or reuse content from the site except as normal use allows.

Liability

We provide the site with reasonable care but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for the acts of the businesses listed, for any wedding service you book, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service changes, and will update the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
